Cibes recommends one preventive maintenance visit every 6 months to 1 year for residential lifts. The screw-and-nut drive has fewer moving parts than hydraulic or traction systems, which means fewer items to inspect and replace. There is no hydraulic oil to change, and no counterweight to adjust. A typical visit takes 2 hours and covers lubrication of the screw, inspection of safety devices, testing of the ARD battery and emergency phone, and a full operational test.
