Planning a home lift? These site issues often get in the way:
• Your home has a basement, so a lift pit cannot be dug
• Utility lines such as electrical and plumbing runs sit below the floor, and digging a lift pit could damage them
• There is no overhead space for a lift machine room
• Space is tight, and you do not want to give up a whole room to a lift
Constraints like these can make you give up on the idea of a lift altogether, or set aside a large budget to rebuild the structure of the whole house so it can take one. Cibes Lift removes those obstacles and lets you have a home lift even when space is limited. If all you need is a small lift for an elderly family member or a wheelchair user that is easy and safe to use, the Cibes screw-driven home lift is designed for exactly that. It installs quickly and easily, needs no lift pit and no machine room overhead, and arrives with its shaft prefabricated at the factory, so you lose no space to a concrete shaft and the lift itself is lighter. There is no need to alter the main structure of your house: the lift can be installed straight onto your existing floor.

An example of how the area is prepared for a Cibes home lift installation, which is straightforward and does not affect the building structure.
As the picture shows, a Cibes lift needs no pit dug into the ground and no machine room built above it. That is why our lifts can be installed between floors in high-rise buildings, in houses with a basement, or in houses with an attic room.
The first thing to consider when installing a Cibes lift is the space where you want it to go. If there is no concrete shaft already in place, simply look for an area that suits a platform lift that comes with its own shaft. This model is available in a wide range of sizes to match the space in your home and the way you will use it. If space is tight, this model is a great space saver: the smallest size needs only 1020 x 980 mm of floor area.

Once the area has been prepared to the required size, the lift can be set straight down onto it. If you would like the lift platform to sit flush with your floor, simply drop the floor by 6 centimetres (in effect a shallow lift pit). With that, the site is ready for your Cibes home lift installation.
The best time to install a Cibes lift in a newly built home is when the interior is about 90% finished, or roughly 7 days before the furniture is moved in, because our installation takes about 5-7 days to complete (depending on the complexity and height of each building). After that, your contractor can easily finish the joints between the lift and the house for a seamless look.
