CONCEPT DESIGN & ART DIRECTION “Rethinking Direction: Past Present Perfect”
This Key Visual is an interpretation of the architectural styles that have emerged in Thailand over the past 90 years
The aim is to present the beauty of architecture as a living culture, seen through the ideas and influences that shaped society in each era — differences in style, shifts in thinking, and the distinctive culture of every period. This blending creates a link between past, present and future through a fresh perspective, in search of a “direction” that can drive architecture closer to people of every gender and generation. Graphic Elements drawn from the contemporary architecture of each era are distilled and made to stand out, then transformed through a creative process into Character Design with an Art Toys sensibility, inspired by Thai contemporary architecture. These Character Designs not only reflect the identity and detail of architecture in each era, they also act as a bridge between Pop Culture and modern art, creating meaning that is tangible both physically and in the understanding of the general public
“Past Present Perfect” is a revisiting of the past through open eyes in the present, in search of the possibilities of the future — leading to a new dialogue between art, architecture and the living culture of every era
